no time limit; just the parents need to agree or ya go to court;; usually if there is a fight between the 2 parents on who you have custody with, they take your choice into consideration;; but if the courts feel (for whatever reason is told to them %26amp; backed up by facts) that ';it is in the best interest of the child'; to live with the one parent, then that's the court's ruling;; if the court states they will come back to this after 3 months to see how things are working out, that may be your opportunity to voice your opinion;; one of your parents will have to order a Guardian ad Litem for you (not sure on the spelling, but it's like a child's lawyer);; good luck but things are a lot more complicated than you may think
