Can i see psychiatrist at 18 without a parent knowing?

i have alot of issues that i have dealt with my whole life. i have always pretended like everythings allrite when its not. i told a friend about them and she said i should see a psychiatrist, she told me she saw one and it really helped her. i want to see one but i dont want anyone else to know, i just want my privacy and i know if i tell my mom she will tell everyone. i dont trust her.Can i see psychiatrist at 18 without a parent knowing?

tecnically you're an adult at 18 you can do what you want and your parents don't have to know about it. as long as you have some transportation and are willing to pay for it yourself. :) i hope everything works out for you!!!
