Should a parent whose child injures or kills a student at school with a handgun be charged with a felony?

Whats is your opinion and Why!?Should a parent whose child injures or kills a student at school with a handgun be charged with a felony?
No, because most kids today are self centered and will not do as their parents direct because of the Liberal attitude of the government and the fostering of that belief in the education establishment.

Because of that I believe any student who commits a crime of this level, particularly with a gun should be EXECUTED and the Liberal establishment made to watch.Should a parent whose child injures or kills a student at school with a handgun be charged with a felony?
It depends on the circumstances. I'd need to know more about the situation to give a reasonable answer.

How old is the child? How did they get hold of the gun? Whose gun is it? What were the circumstances of the shooting?

I can imagine circumstances where the child could be awarded a medal for saving his classmates from a would-be mass killer. I can imagine other circumstances where the child and their parents are both charged with multiple felonies. Or the whole thing could be treated as a tragic accident. It's not a simple question.
Yes the parent(s) should be charged with something. It is our responsibility to ensure our children as well as others are safe from harm. If a child has access to something like that, then there is neglect on behalf of the parent(s). Guns should be properly stored in a safe or lock-box and the keys should be in a place that a child cannot locate them.
Of course. Where the hell would they get a handgun in the first place. The parent wouldn't have to answer that question in the first place if they had been taking care of their kid. There are a few charges the parents should be stuck with on that one. If they are responsible for anything else the kid does before they are 18, why is this different?
It depends. Did the parents leave the gun lying around?
Yes, its murder.
