Depends mostly on the occupancy level the apartment was rented at. You wouldn't have a chance if it's a one bedroom apartment. Then it also may depend on the landlord or owner and the lease signed, if it was stipulated there were no children allowed in any case if the building had a covenant between the tenants that prevented rental to couples with children.
